Modern Community Foundation (MCF) is a Non Profit Organization that advocates for the empowerment, transformation & education of our beneficiaries. Our community include the LGBTQIA+ Individuals, vulnerable Women & Children, Persons with Dis-Abilities and the Youth all striving towards self-sustainability and self reliance cutting the unemployment rate and alleviating poverty one community at a time. MCF is a community of the Other, coming together to leave a positive impact in communities where we live and work.
As part of our drive to leave a positive socio-economic and ecological impact, Modern Community Foundation uses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as guiding principles.
Through our different initiatives we focus on SDG 1 - No Poverty offering employment to individuals of different backgrounds; SDG 2 - Zero hunger, through Shumela Hayani by training youth living with Dis-Abilities agripreneurial skills for income opportunities; SDG 4 - Quality education, equipping youth with ICT skills through learnerships, SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth, lowering the unemployment rates overall through the Foundation; SDG 10 - Gender Inequalities advocating for the inclusivity and equality of the marginalized; SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions Promoting accountability and inclusive societies; and SDG 17 - Partnering with the public and private sectors to drive the Sustainable Development Goals
